Product Overview

Knives of SUNCRAFT have been admired by many people and chefs in Japan as well as in other countries. "MOKA" knife series has been designed by well-known designer, Motomi Kawakami, and won Good design award in 2008. "MU" knife series has been designed by Italian designers, Paola Carallo and Jacopo Romano, and loved to use by a chef, Pietro Leemann who is the head chef of one Michelin star restaurant "Joia" in Milan, Italy.

The SENZO Black Damascus Santoku 167mm is a versatile all-purpose kitchen knife designed for effortless everyday cooking.
“Santoku” means “three virtues,” referring to its ability to handle meat, fish, and vegetables with equal ease—making it one of the most widely used Japanese knife styles in both home kitchens and professional settings.

Combining the rustic character of traditional Japanese hand-forged blades with modern steel technology, this Santoku features a stunning dark Damascus finish.
At its core lies VG10 stainless steel, a premium high-carbon steel known for long-lasting sharpness and superior cutting performance.
The blade is constructed from 69 layers of alternating soft and hard stainless steels plus a DP layer surrounding the VG10 core. As the blade is ground and polished, these layers reveal a unique rippling wave pattern reminiscent of the hamon of Japanese katana.
The blade is finished with a deep black treatment, creating a sleek and refined appearance that enhances its elegant Damascus texture.
